Tótem

Tótem es una pieza realizada en acrílico sobre lienzo de 80×60 cm.
Ha sido llevada a cabo conjuntamente por Alberto Ribes y Eva Serrano dentro del colectivo astillero 1010.

Se trata de una obra pintada conjuntamente compartiendo el tiempo y el espacio de la pintura, el objetivo era que fuese poco a poco apareciendo la intención de la obra, su significado. No se ha partido de un diseño preconcebido y la intervención de cada uno de nosotros influía sobre lo que el otro estaba desarrollando.

La aspiración era llegar a un significado creado de forma conjunta, aunque partas de una idea inicial clara tienes que aprender a reconfigurar esa idea, adaptarla a la acción del otro que va modificando el resultado. Esta forma de entender la creación te obliga a ser receptivo con la posición del otro ante la pieza, y esta posición tienes que hacerla convivir con la tuya propia, tienes que encontrar un camino en el que ambas pulsiones convivan.

Es un aprendizaje sobre la adaptación y la convivencia, sobre el reconocimiento del otro y la búsqueda de caminos creados colaborativamente. Es en definitiva, un diálogo entre dos personas.

It has been carried out jointly by Alberto Ribes and Eva Serrano within the collective astillero1010.

It is a jointly painted work sharing the time and space of the painting, the objective was that the intention of the work, its meaning, gradually appear. It has not started from a preconceived design and the intervention of each one of us influenced what the other was developing.

The aspiration was to arrive at a jointly created meaning, even if you start from a clear initial idea, you have to learn to reconfigure that idea, adapt it to the action of the other that modifies the result. This way of understanding creation forces you to be receptive to the other's position towards the piece, and you have to make this position coexist with your own, you have to find a way in which both impulses coexist.

It is a learning about adaptation and coexistence, about the recognition of the other and the search for paths created collaboratively. It is ultimately a dialogue between two people.
